Young scientists are developed early through an interest in learning about the natural world.  Experiences that provide children with opportunities to explore the changes in the seasons and the weather, the natural world, and especially animals will help build the infrastructure of knowledge and skills that children will use in later school.

This theme offers information about and experiences planned around weather, the clothing we wear when it is cold, the concepts of hot and cold, and animals such as bears and what they do during the winter months.
